Charité Caesarean Birth Improves Birth Experience in Planned and Unplanned Caesarean Sections While Maintaining Maternal and Neonatal Safety: A Prospective Cohort Study

Background: In this study, we aimed to assess the safety of a modified caesarean delivery (Charité birth) in an extended frame indications, and examine its impact on parents’ birth experience long-term effects. Methods: This prospective cohort study was performed from January June 2019. A standardized questionnaire given all women who gave as inpatient delivery. Eight months after hospital discharge, consent were sent follow-up including questions current feelings, breast feeding, bonding, support system, well screening for postnatal depression. Indications included preterm birth, fetal malpresentation, malformation, twin pregnancy, maternal pre-existing conditions. Results: The 110 women. mode spontaneous 49%, per vacuum extraction 15%, conventional section 7%, Charité 29%. groups with versus did not significantly differ neonatal admission rates, umbilical cord parameters, blood loss, or duration surgery.
